After years of talking about going to Shabu Shabu with my dad we finally made it. Wednesday night we had a great dinner at a little shabu shabu place on Lawrence and enjoyed some thinly sliced Kobe beef with tofu and veggies. Thursday night was the yearly double birthday party for PJ and Jamie, they had the upstairs at Old Oak Tavern on Chicago ave. The party was fun with plenty of drinking thanks to pj and the open bar. Friday was another birthday night, It was Grace's birthday and she enjoyed the day in pain getting an amazing lioness tattoo over at Speak Easy Tattoo by Patrick. When she was done Pete and Grace met Lindsay and I at Coast Sushi on damen for a great dinner, it is byob so we brought some beer, sake and wine. After dinner we went back to speak easy to meet everyone for drinks and to celebrate more. I had a great day Saturday, went golfing with Brian, PJ and Rick at Oakbrook Country Club. The weather was perfect and golf was great but as per usual the sweet swinging Asian boys kicked us awkward swinging white boys ass and after doubling the bet on 17 we ended up losing 2 shabu shabu dinners. We decided to pay up right after golf so we headed to my new favorite place and we chowed for hours. So as of now PJ and I still owe one more shabu dinner and a Sunda. I was up super late Saturday night so I chilled most of Sunday and went to Via Carducci's La Sorella with Lindsay followed by Star Fruit and like 5 more episodes of entourage as I try to catch up with seasons 1-5 to get current. Well that's it for now and I am gonna finish my walk.
