Le Lafayette Naples

Le Lafayette Naples 375 13th Avenue South, Naples FL (239) 403-7861 http://www.lelafayette.com/ I am going to start by saying the food was really really good and I enjoyed the quiet ambience and the wine list was nice and priced very fair for the French Reds I love so much. I think compared to the lively night life in downtown naples we were expecting a little busier and more action but for a nice French Restaurant I think it was perfect. We started with an order of Escargots along with goose liver served 2 ways, the snails were awesome and the pate version of the goose was great, the sauteed version was cut too thin and over cooked. We enjoyed a nice 2000 Bordeaux from Saint-Émilion that was perfect with dinner and the appetizers. For my entree I enjoyed the Duck A la Orange that was really good and cooked well, Lindsay tried something new that is a classic French dish called a Cassoulet that had pork, sausage and duck with white beans and tomatoes in a light broth that was like a French Stew that was really different and very tasty. Lynne enjoyed the Duck also and Bill ordered the Shrimp Risotto that was really good but very chintzy on the shrimp and not worth the price but the risotto was rich and tasty. I loved the place but we could have used a more upbeat choice that night.
