I have wanted to eat at Le Colonial for many years and finally made it Friday night. We had a couple drinks upstairs before we decided to sit down about a half hour after our reservation time. The entire place is very very cool and decorated in a 1920 Southeast Asian vintage feel that is quite different between the upstairs and the down stairs. The upstairs is a little darker and more quaint and has such a great feel and ambiance. Le Colonial is a French-Vietnamese restaurant and the food is very high end and some of the finest dining of its kind.
We started dinner with a couple appetizers and a light Burgundy wine to go along with style of food. We enjoyed the Tuna Tartare very much along with two make your own lettuce wraps, one with shrimp and one with a small crisp spring roll. Everything was really good from the wine to the appetizers and the entrees were excellent. I really liked this place and look forward to checking it out again and trying more of the interesting and great tasting items on the menu.
