I am back in Chicago and at the office and time to catch up with the last couple weeks. I got back Sunday from an amazing couple weeks of traveling with Mei for her 30th B-day. The trip started off with me flying to NYC on Tuesday June 24th and then flying Wednesday morning with Mei to St Maarten and hung out at the ferry port for a few hours and took the ferry to St. Barths. We spent 8 great days in St. Barths with plenty of sun and great beaches and great dinners. We snorkeled a couple times and took a really relaxing half day Catamaran trip with lunch and swimming and we even saw a few sea turtles. We had a Smart car for the entire time we were there so we were able to explore the Island and shop and check out other restaurants and beaches. I have visited quite a few Islands in Caribbean and St Barths I will have to say that this Island is really amazing and clean and very upscale. The only draw back is the weak dollar and paying in Euros but the food and drinks and everything were just great and the people were all very nice and accommodating. We extended the trip by a couple day to go to Guadalupe to visit Mei's best friend Yanis and had a nice couple days checking out the Island and had a really cool jungle adventure and trekked down to a small waterfall and pool of fresh water. We had a hard time getting there but after a couple hours of hard work and wrong paths and a bloody hand we made it to a very pretty spot. I have posted some pictures of the trip and from start to finish it was a lot of fun and I even towards the end we both were wishing we could start over and stay another week.
